Greeting from Orange, Virginia.  I am a full-time Innkeeper, wife and grandmother.

My husband Marty  and I opened the The Inn on Poplar Hill in 2002.  Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience and tremendous value for our guests.

With  over 14 years of experience as BnB breakfast chef I am passionate about exceeding guests expectations in the kitchen.  Tastes and preferences have changed over the years and as I reach out to other Innkeepers from different parts I am looking forward to discovering new flavors and culinary inspiration.

I  love being an Innkeeper and appreciate being able to share good food and southern hospitality with guests from across the world.  But one of the  frustrating things about Innkeeping, the lack of travel.  Sometimes it feels like  I am on a permanent STAYCATION.  I miss the days of exploring new BnB’s and having breakfast prepared for me.

This blog is my way to reach out to  fellow Innkeepers around the world to share my love of good food, especially breakfast and the art of caring for guests.
